The flanker who binds onto the side of a scrum furthest from a touchline.A ball winner whose role is to disrupt the opposition's backs.Usually the quickest of the forwards, he often provides an extra man for his own backs in an attacking move.Thrives on battering fly-halves and centres. Another of my favourite positions. Competition in SP is tough for this position. Well it's better to have lots of talented reserves than no reserves. Reminds me of last time when I was in JJC and there was absolutely no one to sub me. And the coach will always say "Ok Ahmad, later I'll sub you.".Yeah rite.

It's the holidays and there's absolutely nothing to do. Last Friday was spent watching my school captain playing for his club, Bucks. Another reason is that si Tukang Jual Minyak a.ka. Rain wants to join the club and wants to see them in action. I'm thinking of joining a club too, maybe SRC but it'll be after the POLITE games are over. And yes, we do have to be polite during the games. According to the coach, no flower language in the games is allowed like "Rose you ah!" or "You go and tulip ah". Why SRC? Well, I used to play for them. I even got this Hawaiian shirt they give me. Their facilities such as the hot and cold pool and swimming pools is also a major plus. The clubhouse is also easy to get to as City Hall Mrt Station is nearby.

There was this segment in the sports camp where one of the trainer talked about the different kinds of training a rugby player should do throughout the year. Since it'll be too late to do the pre-season training, I'm starting straight into the season training. I want to be at least match fit and also improve in my skills because this year's team has really a lot of talented players. It'll be a challenge to break into the first team but my aim this year is to at least make it into the first 30 who'll be registered in the POLITE games. It'll be hard, but determination is my middle name.
