Tomorrow afternoon I'll be participating in a rugby game against Greenridge Secondary School with the SP Development Squad. Basically this squad consists of mainly 1st year students who do not know how to play rugby and some of them may be selected for the IVP squad, which is the main squad consisting of the first 30 players. So this game is important for them as it'll showcase their skills and whether they are good enough to make the IVP squad. Of course, they'll be against a squad consisting of players between 13-15 years old but if they can't beat Greenridge, then it'll be harder to get into the IVP squad.I need a new outlet to let out my feelings. It's not that you guys and gals have not been there for me, but I need a fresh opinion on some things that I've been thinking about. I realized the few people I'm comfortable sharing my feelings to are Pul, Zam and maybe Ezdi and Edna. So far, I feel they have offered some good advice on some of things that I'm going through and also some unbiased opinions on my questions about life. Yes, I have this habit of asking questions about life out of nowhere. For example, we could be talking about rugby then the next thing I'll ask what you think about co-habitation, that kind of thing. It's stimulating to have these conversations as sometimes the opinions offered is so different from your own.
Currently, people in SP are calling me Hicai. I got to thank my rugby coach for this as he read my handwriting and thought Hilmi was Hicai. Maybe my handwriting is bad but doesn't Hicai sounds like some Thai name. I thought this Hicai nickname will go away but it got bad enough where my SP friends don't know me anything other than Hicai. They will actually ask who is Ahmad Hilmi until it occured to them that it's actually Hicai. So if people ask whether you know Hicai, you'll know they talking about me.
In conclusion, the stars were too high for us to reach tonight. But we'll get there someday.
